Chau Ram County Park

Chau Ram County Park

This hidden oasis is considered one of Oconee County’s “Best Kept Secrets” with 26 campsites with both water and electricity hook ups and several hiking trails to choose from. A camping experience you don’t want to miss. The park features the Chauga River that runs over a mile through the park with handicap access to a 40-foot waterfall where Ramsey Creek flows into the Chauga River.  Another main attraction, one that is not found too often in Oconee County, is a 160-foot suspension bridge spanning the Chauga River. In addition to camping, the park offers four rental areas for larger gatherings.  Chau Ram Park is located minutes from Westminster, South Carolina and ten miles from the Federally designated Chattooga River.  Famous for it’s whitewater rapids.
