Stumphouse Tunnel

Stumphouse Tunnel

Stumphouse Park is unique in that its history dates all the way back to the Civil War. It is over 440 acres within the Sumter National Forest with several different areas to explore as well as picnic tables and restrooms. There is a covered event pavilion that is available to rent as well. The areas to explore include Stumphouse Tunnel, Issaqueena Falls, Blue Ridge Railroad trailhead and Yellow Branch Falls. You can enter Yellow Brand Falls Trail via Yellow Branch Road across the street from Stumphouse Tunnel Road. There are several picnic tables along a babbling creek with an additional gathering area for larger groups. In the last several years, Stumphouse has also been working on its bike park. There are over 10 miles of trails and in 2023, they plan to start construction to expand another 10 miles. The bike park can be accessed from the Stumphouse Tunnel Road. There is an entry fee required at the front gate.
